Anyone who has traveled to Disney is most likely familiar with the on-site, moderate hotel property-Coronado Springs. The hotel is situated near Animal Kingdom and resembles a Mexican casita beach resort encircling a 22 acre lake. Most of the buildings are 2 or 3 stories tall until now…
July 9th Disney Coronado Springs officially opened the new Gran Destino Tower. The new tower includes 545 guest rooms, an open air lobby and a rooftop restaurant to name a few of the additions. It looks as though the rates are around $250-$350 per night depending on the season (of course leave it to Hey Modern Traveler to get you the best price:))
Is Coronado Springs right for you? It depends-it is a moderate hotel but is generally priced slightly higher than the others. Like other moderate hotels, transportation to and from parks is by bus. Some of the features you can find are 4 pools including a 46 foot tall Mayan pyramid that houses 128 foot water slide! Keep in mind conventions are often hosted on site and to some can be bothersome.
